Early on, Orange defined its role to address some of today’ssocialchallenges linked to our industry: promoting responsible mobile phone use, raising awareness of screen time, recycling mobile phones, and fighting against cyber bullying.
Linux Administration: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Linux server (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) both on-premises and in the cloud. Perform system updates, patches, and regular maintenance for optimal performance and security. Implement automation scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) for system management and deployments.
AWS Infrastructure Management: manage AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.). Optimize cloud costs, monitor performance, and ensure high availability of AWS resources. Implement security best practices in AWS environments (encryption, IAM policies, VPC security).
Appliance Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux based physical and virtual appliances. Collaborate with network teams to ensure smooth connectivity and security across the network infrastructure.
Automation: Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to optimize and streamline operations. You will be responsible for automating processes related to IT infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring. This includes developing scripts, templates, and tools to automate manual processes and ensure consistency.
Application Management: Managing the deployment and maintenance of applications on the Linux servers. This includes monitoring application performance, optimizing resource utilization, and troubleshooting issues related to the application.
Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in case of disaster or system failure.
Collaborate with stakeholders: You will collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization to ensure that the IT environment is meeting their needs. This may involve working with customer teams to understand their requirements, providing recommendations on Linux and open-source solutions, and ensuring that any changes to the IT infrastructure environment are communicated effectively.
Stay up to date with industry trends: You will stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in cloud technology, ensuring that the organization is leveraging the latest advancements to improve its cloud infrastructure.
Preferred candidate profile:
This is a customer-facing role and is ideal for an excellent communicator with a positive outlook and a get-the-job done attitude. Ideally you should have 3-5 years relevant experience in large scale deployment of Linux and open source infrastructure, having minimum 8 years of industry experience. You should be ready to work in customer time zone and during off business hours to carryout changes.
BE/B.Tech/MCA/B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science)
Linux certification, AWS, ITIL certification
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Experience on managing large scale environment running on server virtualization.
Experience in managing Linux Server, KVM/VMware, open source etc.
In-depth knowledge of LDAP, DNS/DHCP/NTP/SFTP, Web server, database server etc.
Experience on middleware e.g. Apache, Tomcat etc.
Solid understanding of standard client-server, Networking, and Internet concepts
Proven experience on virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
Working experience in cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong scripting knowledge for systems automation (shell/python/Perl etc.)
Strong knowledge and experience on server rack/blade servers, HCI (Cisco UCS, VxRail, Nutanix etc.)
Experience working with some or all technologies below:
Utilize cloud platforms for device management, storage, and analytics, and implement data pipelines for real-time and batch processing with tools like Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
