The Delhi government is considering banning new petrol and diesel two-wheeler registrations from August 2026 to promote electric vehicle adoption. This move is part of the Electric Vehicle Policy 2.0, which also includes the transition to electric autorickshaws and expanding EV charging infrastructure for 95% EV penetration by 2027.
