Skoda Auto India has started deliveries of the Kylaq sub-compact SUV and reopened bookings for the Classic trim. The Kylaq, available in four variants, starts at Rs 7.89 lakh. It comes with a 1.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine, various safety features, and modern amenities, securing a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP.

Skoda is set to launch the locally assembled second-gen Kodiaq in India by April, following the introduction of the Kylaq. The new Kodiaq, featuring an updated design and advanced tech, will come with a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 187 hp and 320 Nm of torque.
The sub-compact SUV gets two engine options – a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The same petrol engine does the duty in the Hyundai i20 N-line, Venue and Kia Sonet. The same diesel engine also does the duty in the Hyundai Venue, Creta, Carens, Seltos and Sonet.

The BYD Sea Lion 07 is based on the company’s e-platform 3.0 and BYD says that the new EV draws inspiration from sea lions jumping into the water to create a distinctive five-spoke design. In terms of design, the EV looks very similar to the Seal sedan and gets sharp lines with multiple cuts and creases. It features angular headlamps with L-shaped extensions which house LED DRLs and it also gets vents and large air intakes.
