5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in market risk, preferably in financial services or investment banking.
- Market Risk Knowledge: Strong understanding of market risk management concepts, including risk types (e.g., interest rate, FX, equity, commodity), risk measures (VaR, stress testing, P&L, etc.), and risk reporting.
- Technical Understanding: Experience working with risk management systems, data flows, and financial products (derivatives, fixed income, equities, etc.).
- Requirements Gathering: Proven experience in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements for technology projects.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including risk managers, developers, and senior leadership.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to solve complex issues, analyze large datasets, and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations related to market risk, such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, or EMIR.
- Tools & Technologies: Experience with risk management tools, SQL for data analysis, and proficiency in Excel or other data visualization tools.
