Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our products and services. You will work closely with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information, translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language, and develop comprehensive documentation across various formats including paper, multimedia, web-based publications, and user sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in technical writing or a related field.
• Proven ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for diverse audiences.
• Excellent research and information gathering skills.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into easy-to-understand language
• Familiarity with version control systems (like Git) and collaborative knowledge management platforms (like Confluence).
• Working knowledge of Markdown for content creation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with API documentation
• Experience with single-sourcing tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, RoboHelp)
• Experience with creating multimedia content (e.g., videos, screenshots)

Job Responsibilities

• Create, develop, plan, write, and edit operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for various formats, including:
• Paper-based publications
• Multimedia resources
• Web-based platforms
• User sites
• Embedded user assistance systems
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical staff, and users to gather accurate and up-to-date information for documentation.
• Research and translate complex technical information into clear and concise user manuals, guides, and web-based documents for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Document engineering processes and specifications to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Recommend and implement formatting styles that cater to the specific needs of both technical audiences and general users.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to company style guides, documentation standards, and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
• Utilize version control systems (like Git) and collaborative knowledge management platforms (like Confluence) to manage and track documentation effectively.
• Leverage Markdown for efficient and clear content creation.
• Possess a good understanding of HTML and CSS for formatting and styling web-based documentation (optional).
