Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Big Data and Cloud Data Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of experience working with big data technologies, data processing frameworks, and cloud services on GCP. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions to support our data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture and Modeling : Design, develop, and maintain robust data architectures, ensuring scalable and efficient data pipelines.
• ETL Development : Build, monitor, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using GCP tools such as Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, and BigQuery.
• Data Pipeline Automation : Develop automated data processing workflows using Apache Spark, Apache Beam, or other data processing frameworks.
• Data Warehousing : Maintain and optimize the data warehouse, specifically with BigQuery, ensuring data quality, availability, and security.
• Collaboration : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Data Governance and Security : Implement and uphold data security, privacy, and governance policies in alignment with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience : 3-4 years in data engineering with a focus on Big Data and Cloud, specifically on GCP.
• Big Data Technologies : Proficiency with tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and data warehousing.
• Cloud Expertise : Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Programming : Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and familiarity with Java or Scala for data processing.
• Data Modeling : Experience in designing efficient data models and optimizing data architecture for large-scale data processing.
• Version Control and CI/CD : Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools to manage and deploy data pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

• GCP Certification : Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Data Streaming : Experience with real-time data processing using tools like Kafka or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Agile Methodology : Experience working in Agile development environments.
