India will play its matches in next year’s Champions Trophy at a neutral venue, having refused to travel to host nation and arch-rival Pakistan, the International Cricket Council announced on Thursday after weeks of deliberations. In return, Pakistan will play its matches in future ICC tournaments hosted by India at neutral venues. The agreement also covers the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, hosted by India, and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the ICC statement confirmed.
