International Business Development Manager

1. Business Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute international business expansion strategies.
- Identify new markets and opportunities for outsourcing services.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competition, and client needs.
- Create business plans and sales forecasts for international markets.
2. Sales & Client Acquisition
- Generate leads and convert potential international clients.
- Develop proposals and pitch BPO solutions to global clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with overseas customers.
- Build strong client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
3. Market & Competitor Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities and industry shifts in different countries.
- Understand cultural, legal, and economic factors affecting outsourcing.
- Adapt sales and marketing approaches to different international markets.
4. Relationship Management & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strategic alliances with global stakeholders.
- Collaborate with industry leaders, government bodies, and trade associations.
- Develop partnerships with technology providers to enhance service offerings.
5. Operational Coordination
- Work with internal teams (operations, HR, finance) to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Align client expectations with operational capabilities.
- Assist in setting up offshore delivery centers if required.
6. Branding & Marketing
- Work with marketing teams to create international campaigns.
- Represent the company at global trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
- Promote BPO services through digital marketing, content, and social media.
7. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to international regulations, tax laws, and data protection policies.
- Mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, trade restrictions, and political instability.
- Collaborate with legal teams to navigate international contracts.
8. Financial & Revenue Management
- Set revenue goals and ensure profitability in international markets.
- Manage budgets for business expansion and sales initiatives.
- Track financial performance and ensure ROI from international clients.
9. Leadership & Team Development
- Train and mentor business development executives.
- Build a high-performing international sales team.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and customer-centricity.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification (preferred).
2. Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within the BPO, ITES, or outsourcing industry.
- Proven track record of expanding business in international markets (North America, Europe, APAC, Middle East, etc.).
- Experience in client engagement, contract negotiation, and revenue growth strategies.
- Prior experience working with CXOs, decision-makers, and global clients.
3. Skills & Competencies
a) Business & Sales Skills
- Strong lead generation, deal-closing, and revenue generation abilities.
- Ability to identify and pursue new market opportunities in the outsourcing industry.
- Expertise in negotiating large B2B contracts and managing enterprise sales cycles.
b) Industry & Market Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of BPO services, including customer support, finance & accounting outsourcing, IT-enabled services, and back-office operations.
- Knowledge of outsourcing trends, digital transformation, and automation in the BPO sector.
- Familiarity with global trade regulations, data security laws (GDPR, CCPA), and compliance requirements.
c) Relationship Management & Networking
- Ability to build strategic alliances and partnerships with global stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage clients across different cultures.
- Experience in client retention and account expansion strategies.
d) Leadership & Team Management
- Capability to lead international sales teams and drive performance.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior business development professionals.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, and marketing teams.
e) Analytical & Strategic Thinking
- Strong market research, financial analysis, and business planning skills.
- Data-driven decision-making to optimize business strategies.
- Ability to forecast revenue growth and align business goals with company objectives.
f) Digital & Technological Proficiency
- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
- Experience in leveraging AI, automation, and analytics to enhance outsourcing solutions.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and lead generation tools for international markets.
