Job Title: Night Manager (Hospital) / Manager on Duty

Job Summary:
The Night Manager will oversee the operations and management of the hospital during the night shift. This role ensures that all departments function smoothly, and the hospital is able to provide high-quality care to patients throughout the night. The Night Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, handling emergencies, and acting as a liaison between the staff and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Night Shift Staff:
Oversee all hospital staff working during the night shift, including nurses, doctors, security, and administrative personnel.
Ensure proper staffing levels for all departments and address any staffing concerns or absences.
Provide leadership and support to night shift teams, promoting teamwork and high standards of care.
Patient Care and Safety:
Monitor patient care and ensure that it is delivered according to established protocols and policies.
Respond to patient concerns and requests, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
Manage emergencies or urgent situations that arise during the night shift.
Administrative Duties:
Ensure all hospital policies and procedures are adhered to during the night shift.
Handle documentation of patient care, incidents, and other reports that are required by hospital management.
Provide regular updates to the day shift management team on any issues or developments that occurred overnight.
Quality Control:
Monitor cleanliness, safety, and security of the hospital during the night.
Ensure that hospital facilities, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained and available.
Address any facility or safety concerns promptly.
Patient Admission and Discharge:
Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges that take place during the night shift.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions for patients, including those in emergency or critical care.
Emergency Response:
Serve as the point of contact for any emergencies, including medical, fire, or security incidents.
Lead and coordinate the hospital's emergency response as necessary.
Staff Development:
Provide on-the-job training and support for new staff members.
Foster a positive, professional work environment, addressing any staff concerns or conflicts.
Ensure compliance with all applicable health regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related field (a Master's degree is preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Graduation is a must.
