Business Development Representative (BDR) - Alert Enterprise
Role: Software Engineer I/II
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prospect and Qualify Leads: Research and identify potential leads using various channels, including online databases, social media, networking events, and market research. Reach out to prospects through cold calls, emails, and social media to generate new business opportunities.
Conduct detailed contact research to identify key decision-makers within target companies.
Perform company account profile research to understand potential clients needs and challenges.
Manage CRM: Maintain and update CRM with accurate information, track interactions, and follow up on leads to ensure continuous engagement.
Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with Account Executives and other sales team members to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads and achieve team sales goals.
Meet Targets: Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for appointments set, meetings held, and other KPIs.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to help drive strategic business development efforts.
Feedback & Reporting: Provide feedback on lead quality and share insights that help improve outreach strategies and sales processes.
Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to manage leads, track interactions, and report on sales activities.
Engage with prospects through various channels, including email, phone calls, and social media platforms like LinkedIn
Qualify leads and set up meetings for the sales team to further the sales process.
Nurturing Relationships: Follow up with prospects, nurture long-term relationships, and continue to engage with leads who are not ready to buy immediately.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role (preferably in a B2B environment). Previous experience in lead generation is a plus.
Bachelor s or master s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with key decision-makers and present compelling messages.
Goal-Oriented: Proven ability to meet or exceed targets in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, G-suite, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, video meeting platforms like zoom, Teams, google meet, etc.
Knowledge of Identity management solutions is a plus.
Has a very good understanding of HR platforms like Workday and PACS systems like Lenel, CCure, Johnson Controls, AMAG, and other popular physical access control systems
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with others and contribute to the success of the broader sales team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
