In this exciting role you will join NCR s Retail Self Checkout Team in development and operations of the next generation of Self Checkout solutions.

Position Summary:

• Build test and production environments in a consistent, automated manner
• This role is not limited to only testing and deployment. Its more of ability to wear multiple hats and play multiple roles.
• Set up applications in cloud so having knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• Create and manage VMs, images, and containers for deployment to physical or cloud instances.
• Deployment of microservices using modern tooling and software
• Pub / Sub architecture and design best practices
• Able to run kubectl commands and should be comfortable working with command line.
• Test/Verify services and dependencies using infrastructure as code
• Diagnose and debug issues within the system or dependencies, working with other teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Create and enhance solutions for observability, monitoring and alerting
• Develop and review process in consideration of performance, scalability, and testability
• Replace repetitive and undocumented manual processes
• Work in Agile teams, participate in Agile process in a collaborative fashion
• Should be able to travel worldwide 20-30%

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
• 12+ years of experience in cloud base environment in a DevOps or Testing or Development
• 5+ year experience in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Development experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of microservices, networking, cloud hosted services, and cloud deployment models
• Strong experience in testing of microservices and its integration with DevOps.
• Strong experience in building applications based on Containers: Docker, grpc, Redis
