Sr. Principal Architect (ECM) at OpenText will be part of the global PS organization who bridges the gap between the technical world of OpenText Enterprise Content Management Solution development, document management & business processes of our customers. Therefore, a combination of deep technical ECM configuration & development skills,and strong understanding of Extended ECM and a wide range of equally important soft consulting skills such as advanced customer facing skills, customer relationship building, facilitate/lead blueprint design and requirements workshops, and excellent communication skills are required for this role.
What the Role Offers:
Engaging with enterprise architects, business and IT stakeholders of client to understand its business, technology landscape, business scenarios and requirements in order to define integrated digital solutions for their business problems
Consulting with clients to advocate, influence and gain acceptance of proposed digital solutions that not only leverage OpenText ECM & xECM and other complementing technologies from OpenText but also bring out their business value
Planning and conducting business workshops with business and IT stakeholders of the client to elicit and document business and technical requirements for complex digital solutions
Architecting and implementing OpenText Content Server, xECM for O365, xECM Core Framework, OpenText Application Governance & Archiving for Microsoft SharePoint (AGA), ECM, Brava, Blazon, Archive Server, OTDS, sMFT, CS WebServices & Rest APIs, System Center, and related functionalities & Integrations, based on clients functional and non-functional requirements, and considering current state and future roadmap of the client.
Identifying and offering design choices, supported with necessary analysis and/or pros and cons, and recommending the best suited implemented approach for the given context
Creating comprehensive documentation that supports the implementation and evolution of the solution through all stages of SDLC - Business Requirements, Functional Specification/Solution Blueprint, High-level and Low-level Design, Deployment and Configuration guides etc.
Translating proposed implementation approach into corresponding component/work break down structure and providing high level work estimates and schedule
Working collaboratively with program/project management team within OpenText and on-client side to assist in task planning & task allocation for solution implementation and rollout.
Working with architects/developers/testers as a project team to deliver the solution as per the proposed design with utmost quality
Owning the solution quality by actively and effectively reviewing the designs and source code, and taking necessary defect prevention steps in software development
What you need to Succeed:
8+ years of professional experience in designing medium to complex digital enterprise solutions in the areas of enterprise content management, upgrades of and migrations into OpenText Content Server.
Excellent customer facing skills articulation, engagement and influencing, relationship building and negotiation with strategic focus
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentations skills.
As a technical leader, ability to influence others in the team by clearly articulating the reasons, justifications, risks, challenges, and uncertainties.
Extensive knowledge and practical experience of delivering digital solutions to global clients using modern solution paradigm such as SOA and Cloud.
Highly desirable knowledge and hands-on experience with OpenText ECM & xECM, associated technologies and standards
Demonstrated understanding and application of architectural concepts, EAI patterns, solution design patterns.
Desirable understanding of general system integration principles and practices, techniques, and methods
Flair for clearly documenting design choices or technical decisions made.
In depth technical knowledge on Service Oriented Architecture Web Services, REST, XML
