The Technical Architect will be responsible for leading the development of projects with customer. This role involves gathering requirements from stakeholders and defining SOW, project schedule, specifications. The technical architect will be responsible for finalizing firmware, hardware architectures and proposing development environment. Technical architect will be a mediator between stakeholders and development team.
Responsibilities
Design and Development
Expertise in system architecture design and development process for embedded systems.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical guidance for hardware selection, including microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, and other components.
Design and review firmware architecture.
Working knowledge of RTOS, its features and advantages.
Design and review schematic diagrams, PCB layouts and hardware prototypes to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Conduct performance analysis, testing, and debugging of hardware systems to identify and resolve issues.
Well conversant with Agile methodologies, waterfall development lifecycle.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation including architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
Identify potential risks and challenges in embedded system projects and devise effective mitigation strategies.
Leadership
Working with team the team to design develop new platform/middleware components and maintain/redesign existing platform/middleware.
Guide team for system architecting, proof of concepts, build vs buy etc.
Finding ways to increase productivity and reduce expenses.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in best practices and industry standards.
Stay up to date with emerging trends, advancements, and standards in embedded systems technology.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Handle multiple project deliveries across team.
Assist in defining project schedules, resource loading.
Process Compliance
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in implementing best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
Required skillset:
Must have
Strong experience in healthcare domain
Strong knowledge of Firmware design principles and practices, enabling seamless integration of software and hardware components.
Excellent programming skills C, C++, RTOS.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Socket programming.
Experience in obsolescence management strategies to mitigate risks associated with obsolete components.
Experience in reverse engineering existing boards to analyse and improve system functionality.
Demonstrated ability to provide end-of-life support for legacy products, ensuring smooth transitions for customers.
Proficient in DFMEA, procedure generation, BOM management, and documentation for hardware development projects.
Extensive experience in board design and motion control systems, optimizing performance and reliability.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Experience with version control systems and development tools commonly used in embedded systems development.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Power Point Presentations.
