Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy SAS applications.
• Implement ETL practices and ensure the integration of security and compliance requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work closely with the infrastructure and operations teams to optimize existing batch jobs and build new ones as per the business requirements.
• Continuously improve and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on SAS and other ETL tools.
• Total 4 to 5 years in IT, with 3+ years in SAS, SAS Macro / SQL, and UNIX / LINUX.
• Strong understanding of Base SAS, SAS Macro / SQL, and UNIX / LINUX.
• Hands-on experience in developing, implementing SAS jobs, including unit testing.
• Understand and validate the proposed technical solution to the project and escalate in case of issues or new ideas.
• Experience with AWS/Azure cloud platforms and services will be an added advantage.
• Convert the technical solution to efficient code ensuring compliance to standards, optimized implementation, and reusability.
• Verify and validate your own implementation.
• Report and update the progress, status, issues and risks as per the specified process followed in the project.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.
