As part of SaaS Engineering, we consolidate and simplify IT operations and DB instances across hosted services in Oracle Cloud. We partner with engineering teams to develop product modules to be offered as a service. We collaborate with product quality assurance team to run test cases and to ensure high quality service after release of product versions. Our team works with the best of the class next generation Oracle Fusion technical-stack components such as Oracle Database 19c and beyond, Oracle WebLogic Server 11g, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity management and Oracle Virtual machine etc. The team has excellent expertise in cutting-edge products and technologies like Oracle Fusion applications, hosting products as Software as a Service & Platform as a Service and supporting services in next generation Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

We are looking for experienced engineers to join our Fusion Site Reliability Engineering team. Candidate must have Oracle Database Administration experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DBA or Performance DBA on large production environment and preferably experience on Fusion Apps or any other Enterprise applications.

 Responsibilities 

As a Principal consultant , you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new solutions for Fusion SaaS . May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance. Responsibilities includes validation and uptake of technical components in DB , Exadata and Performance .Collaborate with various cloud operations and engineering teams for production solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 10 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA in fields like DB/GI/Exadata/Performance, with multiple distributed relational DBSM's or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable.



 Key Responsibilities: 

 Fusion Site Reliability Engineering Support - As Part of FSRE-DB team ,candidate is supposed to support SaaS customers for issues related to DB/GI/Exadata/Performance in outage and incidents. Candidate should have strong knowledge on security concepts like OKV/KMS, SSL, TDE/DV ,performance issues related with Database and Exadata.

 Automation - Clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles is the key. We are looking for additional knowledge on automation which can help in proactive aspects.

 Ownership Scope - Good understanding of end-to-end configuration and technical dependencies. In partnership with Service Development and Operations partners will have responsibility to ensure that services are designed and delivered to be mission critical with focus on monitoring, telemetry, security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Engineer solutions so that services are compliant and meet/exceed the service level agreements. Collaborate with various teams during Service outages, capacity expansion, infrastructure maintenance as well as ensure adherence to production deployment standards.

 Technical qualifications :

Mandatory-:Following mandatory skills are required for the job role

BS/MS any computer science related major

Knowledge of Programming Languages Java, Python, Perl etc

10+ years of experience as Oracle DBA administering 10G, 11G , 12C,19c

Production support for DB / Exadata / GI patching on 19c platform and beyond

Extensive in-depth operations management for patching along the techstack - RDBMS , Clusterware , Exadata

Strong Knowledge of Oracle 19c and beyond ASM, RAC setup and administration, CDB/PDB etc

Strong Knowledge of Standby Database setups, RMAN Backups and Recovery, GoldenGate setup, administration and tuning

Ability to work well under pressure in global team environment during customer outages.

Strong knowledge on Exadata and DB performance issues.

Good vision to identify issues proactively.

Willingness to learn new technologies

Experience with Oracle tools ( Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, etc )

Additional(Good to have)-:Following additional skills for required for the job role

Strong SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting skills

Experience with Oracle middle-ware technologies used with Oracle Apps

Knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middle-ware /Weblogic

Experience with bash/csh scripting language. Perl would be preferred

Strong understanding of multiple operating system including Linux
