Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for automated testing

Craft code to set up, run, and report on automated testing of our analytical solutions

Advocate the use of automation to test our applications where appropriate

Contribute to the implementation and improvement of automated testing frameworks

Contribute to the integration of our test automation frameworks with other tools, such as Jira, Testrail, and Bamboo

Maintain baseline test environments and databases for required product versions and configurations

Ensure test environments closely mirror end user's systems re: operating system, hardware configurations

Create concise bug reports linked to automated test cases detecting defects

Perform root cause analysis on test automation failures

Seek, use and promote best practice methodologies & tools to deliver quality software releases

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development process within the development team

Ensure agreed practices are adhered to by the team

Execute Benchmark,Load, Stress,Endurance,Spike tests and various non-functional test, monitoring application logs to determine system behavior

High technical expertise in developing Test scenerios, Test cases and reporting defects and Defect Triage meetings

Mentor junior staff

Education / Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Math, Science or Engineering, or related field

What You’ll Need

7+ years experience working with Test Automation

Comprehensive understanding of SDLC, including Agile methods

Hands on experience with both black box and white (glass) box testing

Test automation framework design, implementation, and integration

Hands-on experience with high level languages such as Python, Java, C++, Ruby, C#, or Perl

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and infrastructure as code

Understanding of data pipelines and data management

Bug creation / management / reporting

Relational and nonrelational databases and SQL queries

Understanding of API functionality, languages and tools

Risk analysis and mitigation strategies

Experience with testing / coding tools Selenium, Ranorex, Cypress, Testrail, Jira, Git, Jenkins, or equivalents

Performance and Load testing tools

Presentation and Dcoumentation of the findings

What Would Be Nice

Experience with multiple operating systems Linux, Windows

Understanding of networking setups

Knowledge of or experience in the mining industry
